Cheap beer and rowdy tourists is a concoction for trouble
In 2014 the Czech Republic was ranked number one in the world for beer consumption. 143 litres a year for the average person. Not surprising considering the price of the stuff being nearly as cheap as water.
Prague is lined with hundreds of bars and clubs, advertising cheep beer on every street corner, a great place for a weekend away. But cheap beer can attract the wrong crowd, alcohol fueled holidays have provoked violence and disruptions across the captial city, Causing locals to begin to resent tourists and their thirst for cheap beer.
